Anita Jones Counselling - Garden Room Therapy
Welcome
My name is Anita Jones - I am a fully qualified counsellor and an accredited and registered member of the BACP, ensuring that my work is held in accordance with the BACP’s Ethical Framework. I have also recently qualified as a Breathwork and Pranayama practitioner.
I work as an Integrative Counsellor, using a holistic approach in my work with clients, seeking to walk alongside you on your journey in therapy, with empathy, warmth, compassion, gentleness and confidentiality.
In my practice, I offer you the time and space in which to start to explore the reasons why you are thinking about starting therapy. I work from the peace, safety, privacy and tranquility of my Garden Room which reflects the qualities and energies I bring into my therapeutic work.

How do I work?
I integrate a Psycho-Spiritual core with both Person-Centered and Psychodynamic approaches.
Working in this way places an emphasis on wholeness, recognizing you as a ‘whole’ person and seeks to assist you in the inner balance and integration of all dimensions of Self, at your pace and from within your own unique perspective.
A Psycho-Spiritual theoretical basis is reflected in my work through its grounding in compassion and the recognition of our shared humanity, rather than any particular religion, faith or none.
Experience
I have worked across a variety of settings, offering both short-term and open-ended therapy. I have also worked within the counselling service at Royal Holloway, University of London.
I currently work as a Specialist Mental Health Mentor with students at Royal Holloway, University of London.
Before my work in counselling, I worked in a Children’s Literary Agency, representing both authors and illustrators.
